transformational Yoga Retreats and yoga classes

AVENIDA COBA SUR, entre Calle 7 y 9 Oriente, Tulum Centro, 77780 Tulum, Q.R., Mexico

Born of a deep desire to introduce people to their inner nature and the natural areas of Tulum, Tribal allows you to re-discover you. Join us to reconnect.

Located on the 3rd level with spectacular tree top views, we have loft apartments where we host our amazing transformational yoga and yoga and dive retreats. Our sister dive shop, Acuatic Tulum, is on the 1st floor and we connect you to the breath above and below the earth. The yoga studio is equipped with hardwood floors, inversion cords, all the props you need and some of the best teachers in Tulum.

Join us for a personal yoga retreat, a dive and yoga retreat of one of our amazing daily classes on the Coba Road (the one that leads to the beach road) in Tulum, Mexico.

Maestros

Joanne Fanny - Our founder sought yoga as a healing modality from athletic injuries. She found Baron Baptiste in his 1st studio in Cambridge Mass. and became a believer in yoga. Certified to teach Hatha Yoga in 2003, she adapted that knowledge to teach power vinyasa here in Tulum, MX. More recently she’s fallen in love with Yin and a Yin Yang practice for their healing powers and accessibility. She studied Yin with YumJi in 2017 and with Sarah Powers’ Insight Yoga in 2023. She loves exploring deeply into the layers of our physical, emotional and energetic bodies and believes we can create peace on earth beginning with ourselves. She also teaches meditation, pranayama, restorative yoga and vinyasa here at Tribal.

Ginger Janet - Janet does our sound healings here at Tribal Tulum the fist Sunday of every month. Sound is an amazingly healing modality and the vibrations enter your body at a molecular level to bring balance and calm. As you relax to the soft, harmonious sounds of crystal and metal bowl accompanied by drums, rainstick and bells, you quickly enter a theta state where you can allow your body to restore and relax.

Cristina teaches Slow Flow at Tribal Tulum.

“Yoga has been a profound part of my healing journey as it has deepened my understanding of resilience and the transformative power of mindful movement.” She shares her time between Toronto, Canada and Tulum, Mexico and loves to create a space for reflection release and empowerment in her practices. Off the mat, she’s deeply engaged in advocacy and support work, helping others to navigate their own paths toward healing and liberation. Look for her Wednesdays at 10 am here at Tribal Tulum.

Jorge— Jorge instructs an Ashtanga based Vinyasa Flow here at Tribal Tulum. He believes in the power of movement and that repetition is a stimulus for creativity.
